Our Business Model

TrueBill Energy is currently a free electricity plan comparison and bill-estimation tool.

We do not currently receive compensation from retail electric providers, sell electricity, enroll customers, or act as your electricity broker. Our goal is to help Texans better understand estimated plan costs using EFL-sourced rates, TDU fees, and user-provided usage inputs.

If TrueBill Energy adds provider compensation, affiliate relationships, sponsored placements, or referral arrangements in the future, those relationships will be clearly disclosed before they affect the user experience.

We Show Available Plans

TrueBill Energy is designed to help you compare electricity plans based on estimated cost at your usage level.

We aim to show a broad selection of publicly available Texas electricity plans.

Rankings Are Based on Estimated Cost Only

Plans are ranked by estimated monthly bill based on the usage level you enter and the pricing details available for each plan. We do not accept compensation, sponsored placement fees, or ranking boosts from providers.

The plan with the lowest estimated cost for your usage appears first, regardless of provider or any other business relationship.

Transparency First

We believe you should understand the plan you are comparing and how we calculated the estimate.

That is why we focus on showing:

• Estimated monthly cost based on your usage
• Known energy charges, delivery charges, fees, credits, and base charges
• Plan details from available public documents, including Electricity Facts Labels when available
• Calculation transparency: what charges and credits are included in each estimate
• Indicators when certain pricing details require extra review or verification
