Compare plans by what you'd actually pay

EFL rates, delivery charges, credits & fees included.

How this comparison works

TrueBill Energy estimates the total monthly bill for every publicly listed residential electricity plan in your delivery territory — energy charges, base charges, bill credits, minimum-usage fees, and regulated TDSP delivery charges included — at the usage you enter, using each plan's published Electricity Facts Label. Plans are ranked by lowest estimated bill; ties prefer simpler pricing. Rankings are never influenced by compensation, and the same inputs always produce the same order. Free-period and time-of-use plans are shown separately because their cost depends on when you use electricity, not just how much.

Compare by a monthly estimate at one usage level, or by annual cost from twelve months of usage you enter, one recent bill (TrueBill estimates the rest of the year), or a Smart Meter Texas or Green Button usage file. On Smart Meter Texas, open your Dashboard, choose a report type such as Energy Data 15 Min Interval, and use Export My Report to download a CSV (see the Smart Meter Texas residential user guide). The file is read in your browser and is not uploaded; only monthly kWh totals (and, from an interval file, kWh by hour of day) are sent to price the plans. With interval data, free-nights, free-hours, free-days and nights-and-weekends plans whose free window and paid rate are known are priced from your own usage in those hours; other free-time plans, including weekends-only plans, are estimated from their published prices.
